Sharon Azrieli has sung on grand stages around the world, interpreting classical music, opera, Jewish music and jazz. She has performed on many of the world's greatest stages, including the Metropolitan Opera of New York, Cadogan Hall (UK), Carnegie Hall (NYC), National Arts Centre (ON), Banff Theatre (AB), Place des Arts and Domaine Forget (QC). Sharon has toured extensively in North and South America, Japan and Asia.

Known for her interpretations of the works of Leonard Bernstein, Gershwin, and Verdi, she is one of Canada's most unique voices. Her recent album "SECRET PLACES" features unknown and rare songs by Michel Legrand, as arranged by Tamir Hendelman. Sharon is proudly Québécoise, the 2nd generation of Chevalière de Québec.

A Bilingual Tribute to Michel Legrand

In the summer of 2022 Sharon and Tamir Hendelman toured her new album "SECRET PLACES" throughout North America, including prestigious venues like the Yardbird Suite (AB) and Catalina Club (LA). With a brand new ensemble of musicians, led by Montreal pianist John Roney, Sharon is ready to share this bilingual program with audiences everywhere.

MUSICAL DIRECTOR: JOHN RONEY

John Roney is one of the most well known and respected pianists in Canada. His polyvalence is unrivalled and his virtuosity has earned him a place onstage with musical giants from across the globe and across the entire musical spectrum. With numerous awards and nominations from l'ADISQ, the Juno Awards, the Canadian Jazz Awards and Les Prix Opus, John has participated in more than 80 recordings as a leader, soloist, conductor, accompanist, composer and producer. He has been featured on CBC, Radio-Canada, JazzFM91.1 and the Festival de Jazz de Montreal, and was the Artist in Residence of the Calgary YYC JazzFestival. John Roney is an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Music at the Université de Montréal, where he chairs the Masters in Jazz program.
